The Vampire Diaries (The Fury and Dark Reunion) by: L.J. Smith

I am reading the book The Fury and Dark Reunion by: L.J. Smith, this one of the many Vampire Diaries series. The main characters in my book are Elena Gilbert, Stefan Salvatore, and Damon Salvatore. The supporting characters are Bonnie, Matt, Caroline, and Meredith. My story takes place in Mystic Falls,Virginia where there is vampires, witches walking around. There are multiple problems in my story, Katherine a girl who looks exactly like Elena comes and tries to kill Stefan, Damon, and Elena, but while doing so she dies causing Elena to die as well. Now that Elena is gone the rest of them are trying to fight another evil power that has come to Mystic Falls. Who could it be? Elena is the golden girl of the school, but isn't anymore once she starts dating Stefan. Stefan is the mysterious guy who all of a sudden comes to Mystic Falls, but unexpectedly falls in love with Elena. He is also a Vampire. Damon is Stefan's brother, he is the bad boy who doesn't care about anything, but he also loves Elena. Read the book to find out more.

"Dreams" Langston Hughes

The theme of poem "Dreams" by Langston Hughes is to always hold onto the dreams you have and never let the idea of letting them go come because once you let them go the world won't be the same. The poem says, "Hold fast to dreams/ for if dreams die/ life is a broken - winged bird/ that cannot fly." This shows me that if we let our dreams die that life is just going to be sad because we didn't try our hardest to make what we want happen. We didn't live our life to the fullest.
I am staying strong with the 15 day challenge, sometimes it is hard to know what you should take a picture of. I am staying strong because I want to do photography, I like taking pictures of beautiful things and things that might one day change the world. I want to get one morning when I am all grown up and see what I took pictures of in the past. I hope one day I accomplish a hundred challenges and never give. I want to be a photographer, so I'm staying strong.

Sparky By: Earl Nightingale

I think the theme of "Sparky" by: Earl Nightingale is just because you fail at first doesn't mean later you won't succeed and be great. The quote from the story that I believe supports my theme is, "For Sparky, the boy who had such lack of success in school and whose work was rejected again and again, was Charles Schulz. He created the "Peanuts" comic strip and the little cartoon character whose kite would never fly and who never succeeded in kicking a football, Charlie Brown." This quote shows that after being rejected over and over again Charles Schulz finally succeeded when created the Charlie Brown cartoon comics, which later on became famous. This shows that after failing at first he finally succeeded.
I decided to take pictures of unique and inspiring things for my 15 day challenge. I have been taking pictures of outside, family, and whatever I think is truly beautiful. For example, I took a picture of the sun being blocked by white clouds, but still showing the middle, it looked so beautiful as if a flashing light was coming down from the sky. The 15 day challenge has not been difficult because everywhere around me there is something to take a picture of rather its a tree covered in snow or the sky. I don't think the challenge has been difficult because I like to take photography and hope do it when I get older, so it is good practice for now.
