A sport is not LIFE !

" Life is not a spectator sport. If you're going to spend your whole life in the
grandstand just watching what goes on, in my opinion you're wasting your life. "

The quote is saying that life is not just something you can ignore because if you just ignore than what's the point of living life to the fullest. This quote speaks to me because it makes me not want to miss out on anything because if I do than I missed an important part of life. Once you have missed one part of life than you have lost a million more pieces to it. I can relate to what this quote is saying because I don't believe that life is just a show or game that we just watch, life is time when we can travel the world and try new things and we can't do that if we are just watching it as if we watching a basketball game or some kind of reality TV show like Looney Tunes. I agree with what this quote says because it speaks the truth life in not a spectator sport, it's so much more.

Fault in Our Stars by: John Green

The main characters in the book The Fault in Our Stars by: John Green are Hazel Grace Lancaster, Augustus Waters, Isaac, and Peter Van Houten. Hazel is a 16 year old girl who was diagnosed with IV thyroid cancer when she 13 years old. Hazel meets Augustus and Isaac at a cancer support group, where they become great friends. Hazel and Augustus read a book called An Imperial Affliction by: Peter Van Houten, so Augustus gets plane tickets for him and Hazel to go visit Peter Van Houten in Amsterdam. Augustus and Hazel soon fall in love with each other while in Amsterdam. After the trip to Amsterdam something bad happens. If you want to find out what bad thing happened than read the book.
While reading this book I found the moral of it very interesting because the moral is " There are some situations we cannot escape. We have no power over the situation itself, but we do have the power to decide how we respond to it." I really like this Moral because it shows how the author thinks and what the author wants us to learn from the book he has written.

Plot Diagram ( independent Reading Book )

I am in the exposition part of book because right now the book is introducing and talking about the main and supportive characters. In my book it is telling me about the setting, and how Bella one of the main characters feels about her move to Forks where she is now living with her dad Charlie. The main characters in my book are Bella, Edward, and Jacob. The supporting characters are Rosalie, Esme, Emmet, Jasper, Alice, and Carlisle. So far in the book Bella has been introduced to Edward, but they didn't really get off at a good start. They didn't get off at a good start because when she walked into the classroom he moved away from her making her feel that she did something wrong, but what she doesn't know yet is that Edward is actually a vampire. I can't wait to see what happens!
